Projects

Reconstruction of the filter housing and wet concentrate warehouse

Iron ore mining and processing plant, Russia

Tasks:

  • Development of a work schedule for a period of one month to carry out major repairs of the Pelletizing Plant (PP).
  • Carrying out a set of works on the phased commissioning of four ceramic filters with associated equipment in a short time frame without technological shutdowns of the plant.

Technical solution:
Commissioning of ceramic filters according to a temporary scheme at an accelerated pace, taking into account the experience of installing KDF-90, installed for industrial testing. Subsequent gradual transition to the design scheme.

Uniqueness of the project:
The use of completely new equipment in the field of iron ore concentrate production, which allowed to reduce the cost of ore processing. Combination of two technologies in the FOK filtration section: concentrate production on four hyperbaric and four ceramic filters simultaneously.

Result:
The new filtration equipment was put into operation within six months without any loss of production at the Pelletizing Plant. Each ceramic filter allowed to achieve a productivity of 90 to 120 tons of concentrate per hour in the FOK filtration section. This project allowed to increase the FOK productivity from 6 to 8 million/t per year.
