Increasing the productivity of raw pelletizing of the Pelletizing Plant (PFP) by increasing the specific surface area of the material.
Technical solution:
The most important factor that determines the strength of raw pellets and the adhesion of particles is the specific surface area of the iron ore concentrate. The latter is largely related to the granulometric composition of the concentrate, i.e. the greater the specific surface area of the concentrate, the greater the number of small fractions. The most effective way to increase the specific surface area of iron ore concentrate is grinding using HPGR (high-pressure roller presses).
